Program Structure
Coordinated by SAMS in cooperation with UNB, the first 21 courses are consistent with the first two years of the UNB BBA degree.
Students who successfully complete two years of study at the Sadat Academy for Management Sciences (SAMS) will be granted credit for 21 courses (63 credit hours) toward the UNB Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA) which requires a total of 42 courses (126 credit hours).
In order to be accepted into UNB at year 3, students must meet all academic requirements of having passed all first and second year courses, and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students must also demonstrate proficiency in English by achieving an acceptable TOEFL score (currently a score of 580); achieving an acceptable score on an alternative test of English (such as the Cambridge or Carleton exams); or having graduated from a certified High School whose language of instruction was English, and have passed English language courses in their High School program.
UNB and SAMS will make efforts to ensure that students are proficient in English. Students who are not admitted into Year 3 of the UNB program will have the chance to improve their situation according to the academic rules of probation; otherwise they will be formally terminated from the program. The second half of the program, consisting of 21 courses, is offered by UNB in cooperation with SAMS administration.
Courses are delivered under the complete control and supervision of UNB by faculty comprising local highly qualified instructors and University of New Brunswick professors.
Specialization in International Business is required for all students. Concentrations in Finance and Marketing will also normally be offered every year. All students who are admitted to UNB will have access to the UNB electronic library holdings.
The entire program is normally taken at SAMS’ facilities in Egypt, but an option is available to students who want to complete all or some of the courses during the final two years of the program at UNB's campus in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
Students who successfully complete the Program receive a BBA degree from UNB and also a Bachelor Degree in Management Sciences from SAMS.
